A place for women to grow in faith, build friendships and thrive together.

Ladies in the House is a welcoming community for women and young ladies aged 16 and over, bringing together the ladies of Fresh Ground, their friends, neighbours and anyone from the wider community who is interested in exploring the Christian faith, building friendships and sharing in a spirit of compassion.

We meet monthly for a variety of social and spiritual activities that follow a theme and purpose. Whether we are enjoying a creative activity, sharing food and fellowship, serving our church community or gathering to worship, our heart is the same: to create opportunities for women to deepen their relationship with Jesus and grow in their relationships with one another.

Everyone is welcome, wherever they are on their faith journey. You don't need to have all the answers or be at a particular stage in your walk with God. Simply come as you are! The door is wide open!

Our Theme for 2026-2027: Made to Thrive

This is the year we stop looking back at what was, stop longing for where we’ve been, and stop allowing the negative experiences, disappointments, and things that have happened to keep us tied to the past. This is the year we become fully planted where God has placed us.

We will seek Him, dwell with Him, and gaze upon His beauty. As we remain rooted in His presence we will grow in faith, and step boldly into His purpose for our lives. We won’t merely survive this season- WE WERE MADE TO THRIVE.

Our verse for the year: Psalm 27:4 (NIV)

“One thing I ask from the Lord, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the Lord and to seek him in his temple.”

Our song for the year: Thrive by Casting Crowns.

Throughout the year, our events will help us explore what it means to be rooted in God's presence, flourish in our faith and embrace the purpose He has for each of us.

What do we get up to?

Our monthly programme offers a mixture of social, spiritual and community-focused events, including:

  • Social activities: Opportunities to relax, have fun, try something new and build meaningful friendships.

  • Spiritual growth: Gatherings designed to deepen our faith, encourage one another and grow closer to Jesus.

  • Quarterly praise and worship: Dedicated opportunities to come together in worship, prayer and fellowship.

  • Serving our church community: Church work days that allow us to support, enrich and care for the Fresh Ground community.

  • Fundraising and compassion: Events such as our Christmas party, which can raise funds for Nazarene Compassionate Ministries, supporting compassionate ministry and care for people in need.

We believe that faith grows not only when we gather together, but also when we serve others, show kindness and put compassion into action.

Everyone is welcome

We want Ladies in the House to be accessible and welcoming to as many women as possible. Wherever we can, we aim to offer events free of charge or at a small cost, so that finances are not a barrier to getting involved.

All our events are ticketed, even when they are free, so that we know how many people to cater for and can prepare to welcome everyone well. Please remember to book your ticket in advance!

Join us for Beautifully Bold

We would also love to encourage you to book onto the Nazarene Ladies' Retreat: Beautifully Bold.

This special three-day retreat brings women together from across the Nazarene South District and beyond. It is a wonderful opportunity to step away from the busyness of everyday life, spend intentional time with God, deepen your faith and build friendships with other women on their faith journeys. It is an opportunity to be refreshed, encouraged and reminded of the purpose and boldness God has placed within you.

Come and be part of it!

At Ladies in the House, our heart is to create a space where women can belong, be encouraged, grow in faith and discover what it means to thrive together in Christ.

We look forward to welcoming you to one of our upcoming events!
